No Mas is a retro vintage sports apparel brand that can be found in Bloomingdales, Nordstroms and high end men’s boutiques such as Classic Kicks as well as on nomas-nyc.com. We’re looking for a highly motivated design intern to be a part of No Mas who wants to grow, learn and work with a team of highly skilled professionals.
Internship duration: 24 weeks starting Oct 1 (flexible with start date- can be earlier)
Intern Role:
Support the apparel team with various projects including designing graphics for apparel, designing production spec packs, product photography, image research, back end online store management, attend market appointments. This intern will also support the team in building presentation materials for internal and external meetings. This is not an internship soley about conceptual work. This is an opportunity to help develop a concept, send to production, shoot and refine marketing materials.
The position will be available for the Fall 09 semester as an unpaid internship that can be taken for credit. Minimum 20 – 25 hours per week required.
Specific Job Skills/Education and/or Experience:
-Experience designing sport graphics.
-Student in Junior or Senior year; Graphic Design major.
-Must be available minimum 20 – 25 hours per week either 2 or 3 days a week from 10:00 – 6:00.
-Proficient in Illustrator, Photoshop, and InDesign. HTML and CSS knowledge would be a plus but not critical.
-Demonstrate a strong understanding of merchandising and interest in the juniors market.
-Able to multi-task.
